Mission
In Her Legacy walks alongside young women of color and underserved youth - meeting them exactly where they are, and journeying with them toward
who they are becoming.
Through trauma-informed, healing-centered programming rooted in community, wellness, and cultural responsiveness, we create spaces where young women discover their voice, claim their power, and build the kind of resilience that is not just personal -
it is generational.
We believe that when a young woman knows herself, she changes everything around her.
That is the legacy we are building. Together.
Impact
Every young woman who moves through In Her Legacy leaves carrying something real.
She leaves with a deeper knowledge of who she is - her values, her voice, her worth. She leaves with tools for setting boundaries, building healthy relationships, and tending to her own wellness with the same care she offers others. She leaves with a community that has seen her fully and
celebrated what they found.
We center the young women most often overlooked - those navigating the justice system, transitioning into adulthood, or simply searching for a space that feels like home. We do not wait for crisis to show up. We show up first - proactively, preventatively, and with deep intention.
And when she graduates - the impact does not end. She comes back as a mentor. As a leader. As living proof that
this work changes lives.
The young woman who was once poured into becomes the one who pours.

In Her Legacy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the wellness, mentorship, and leadership development of young women of color and underserved youth - meeting them where they are, and walking alongside them toward who they are becoming.

At In Her Legacy, we believe that every young woman deserves to know her worth - before the world tries to tell her otherwise.
We offer healing-centered, trauma-informed programming that centers the whole person: her identity, her wellness, her voice, and her vision. Every experience we create is culturally responsive, community-rooted, and built on the truth that young women are not problems to be fixed - they are leaders in formation.
Whether she is navigating school, transition, justice involvement, or simply figuring out who she is - she belongs here. And when she leaves, she carries something with her that no one can take away.
